About the Event
Put on your tinfoil hats and get ready for a Powerpoint party like no other. On Friday, 17 July, 8pm, join us for an intergalactic gathering of the minds, where we will swap sightings, collect data, and speculate on the nature of the unknown universe. And who knows, we might just find a tiny green man in our midst.
Enjoy short films by Ostin Fam (Vietnam) and Mark Chua & Lam Li Shuen (Singapore), before revelling in a special presentation by Singapore’s friendly neighbourhood “human” – deførmed. We are also thrilled to invite a series of quirky presentations by other intergalactic interlopers: a data-gathering space invader LARPing as a graphic designer, an anthropological collector of rare alien beings, and the most enigmatic of them all — a librarian.
This programme will consist of a screening of two short films followed by powerpoint presentations by special guests and members of the audience.

AiyA! Aliens in Your Area (Open Call)
Calling all space lovers and conspiracy theorists! AFA is hosting a once-in-a-million-years community Powerpoint party as part of our July programme, Earthlings Welcome. We’re inviting you to present your best conspiracy theories and alien sightings in short 5-7 minute blocs. 2 selected winners will get to take their presentations to our public Powerpoint party on 17th July, 8pm. Examples may include “The Alien at Choa Chu Kang Block 599”, “David Lynch is Definitely Extraterrestrial”, or “My Swimming Coach Was Abducted!”. Have fun, be creative!
