Synopsis

An Indian ex-convict struggles to reconcile and make amends after his release. Shuffling through odd jobs and society’s underbelly, he finds solace with an illegal Chinese prostitute through their pains and regrets.

An official selection for Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival during its world premiere, K. Rajagopal’s debut feature reflects the realities of social exclusion for the marginalised, across both race and class, in an otherwise clean and modern country.
