Notice: Temporary closure of Oldham Theatre and temporary suspension of AFA shop

Update: Oldham Theatre will remain closed until further notice. Our online shop will also be unable to process orders during this period.
In view of the Ministry of Health’s advisory on 24 March 2020 to close entertainment venues including cinemas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is with a heavy heart that the Asian Film Archive (AFA) is cancelling ALL screenings at Oldham Theatre that were originally planned from April 2020, until further notice. Our priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of all members of the public, patrons and staff.
During this extraordinarily difficult time, the AFA will continue to promote Asian cinema, share interesting collections and aspects of it’s preservation work via asianfilmarchive.org and our social media channels.
We look forward to seeing everyone when we return to Oldham Theatre. In the meantime, stay home and keep healthy.
