A rebellious young man nicknamed “Crazy Kid” (Wu Yuan-chin) raised in a temple appears ill-suited for a monastic life. He learns the unique martial art of Crazy Lo Han Fist from his master and is temporarily sent to hone his skills and experience the real world. During his travels, he crosses paths with Wang Kuan (Lin Hui-huang), the ruthless son of a bandit who terrorises local villagers. Crazy Kid assists Chan Hei, a righteous local youth, in defeating Wang. In gratitude, Chan Hei becomes the young man’s disciple.

Their virtuous actions catch the attention of the village elder, who helps them establish a restaurant. The young man marries San-niang (Huang Wei-wei), a woman he rescued from Wang’s clutches. However, their newfound happiness is short-lived as Wang hatches a plan to reclaim San-niang and shatter the Crazy Kid’s life.

Adding a touch of humour to this otherwise intense martial arts drama written by celebrated novelist and screenwriter Ni Kuang, Wang Sha portrays the cunning advisor and subordinate to the antagonist.
