Full Synopsis
Sazzad, a stock trader in bustling Dhaka, loses all his money when the market crashes. Struggling to find work due to his disability, his life takes a downturn. Surrounded by loan sharks, an unhappy girlfriend and a drug addict brother, he desperately longs to escape to another country, only to have the walls close in on him even more.
A debut feature by independent filmmaker Abdullah Mohammad Saad (Rehana Maryam Noor), the grainy black-and-white cinematography of Live From Dhaka—partly informed by a humble production budget—alludes to the starkness of the working class milieu in the Bangladeshi capital.
