Temporalities 🌀🐢😏 uses fluctuating experiences of time to navigate fraught relationships— grappling with grief, mundanity, and things left unsaid.

There will be 6 short films screened for Programme 1 – Temporalities 🌀🐢😏 of Singapore Shorts ‘25.
This screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.

Synopsis
Liz searches for echoes from the memory and influence of her late mother, iconic performer and arts educator, Christina Sergeant. Grappling with grief, she seeks out childhood locales, pulling memory into being through movement and dance.

Jeremy Ho is a documentary filmmaker drawn to personal stories that lend themselves to cultural significant events. Liz Sergeant Tan is an artist and performer whose recent work include These Brief Encounters (2021) and Devil’s Cherry (2022).

Kevia Tan is a Singaporean media artist who explores social issues and tensions in city life through photography and film, aiming to tell stories that connect us through our common humanity. Her previous works include MRT City (2023).

Winnie Chua is a Singapore-based illustrator and animator exploring the nuances of intimate experiences—both personal and social. When she’s not busy petting cats, she enjoys drawing comics and taking walks.
