Angeline’s interest in film stemmed from a young age where her imagination often led to endless possibilities. Through her works, she challenges society’s view of ‘normality’, hoping to leave an emotional impact on her viewers.

Director’s Bio

Giselle Lin is a Singaporean filmmaker. Her undergrad thesis short film Yi Yi (Time Flows in Strange Ways on Sundays) (2021) premiered in competition at the 74th Locarno Film Festival. Her upcoming short film project, Children’s Day, participated in the Objectifs Short Film Incubator 2022, while her debut feature project, Midnight Blue Spring, is an alumna of the SGIFF Southeast Asian Film Lab 2021 and won the grand prize at the inaugural 2022 Locarno Residency. Giselle seeks to tell stories about women, for women.

Synopsis

Three geeky Junior College graduates find themselves on the brink of change with National Service starting the next day. Fearing that they have not experienced anything noteworthy in their entire lives, they create a list of daring and perilous tasks to complete by the end of the night, setting out to prove to each other their preparedness for the challenges of military life.

Director’s Bio

Caleb Ong Cabusao is an emerging filmmaker who recently graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a Diploma in Digital Film and Television. Originally from the Philippines, Caleb moved to Singapore in 2017 to complete his education. Caleb has a deep passion for storytelling, filmmaking, music, and reading. As a director and writer, Caleb’s creativity and dedication culminated in his final thesis film, The Pirate Club, which showcases his ability to blend compelling narratives with captivating visuals.

Jessica Goh is a multimedia artist and educator from Singapore. She received a BFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts in 2023, and has built a practice of animated filmmaking as a vehicle for intuitive storytelling.
