About the Director
After their first stop-motion short film Contained (2010) amassed awards at numerous international film festivals, twin brothers Henry Zhuang and Harry Zhuang have embarked on a journey to explore the boundaries of animation in film.

Fanny Bratahalim is an independent filmmaker interested in diasporic identities, and a 2D Animation Assistant Lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts. Her film, Lose It, won Best Animation at Singapore Myanmar Film Festival 2015.

Synopsis
partitions is a short observational documentary about a Sindhi woman’s migration to Singapore following the Partition of India in 1947. The film juxtaposes fragmented recollections of the past – drawing on photographs, state documents, oral histories, and more – with the enduring practices of the present.
About the Director
With his political science background, Vishal Daryanomel is a senior editor for various publications covering politics and social science. He organises migrant poetry events, and curated the short film programme for the Global Migrant Festival 2018.

Synopsis
A man enters a passage and must choose to embrace either the persistence of time or the will of nature. Through improvised movement and choreography, this short film is a playful meditation on the body, space, and the present moment.
The film was shot as part of Cinemovement Laboratory VI: Solo in Studio Plesungan, an art space run by Indonesian artist Melati Suryodarmo in the northern part of Solo, Indonesia.
About the Director
Olivia Griselda is an Indonesian filmmaker and stand-up comedian. Her credits also include rom-coms Just Because We’re Friends and crowdfunded web series Alice Wants A Date. She graduated from Singapore Management University, majoring in marketing and psychology.

Synopsis
Saudade is an aural and visual archive narrated entirely in Kristang—a creole language that emerged in 16th century Portuguese colonial Malacca. The film reimagines early kampong rituals and choreography, using folklore and myth as narrative anchors. Set against the exultant energies of the Eurasian imagination, the film tells a story of loss and displacement of a people and its language.
About the Director
Russell Adam Morton is a film and visual artist exploring folkloric myths, esoteric rituals and the conventions of cinema itself. He currently holds an artist residency under the Nanyang Technical University Centre of Contemporary Arts.

About the Director
Writer, performer, and editor of COCKEYE zine, Yang Vicki 楊彥絢 is currently studying filmmaking at Taipei National University of the Arts together with co-director Winston Ko 柯勝緯.
