Tak, travels from China to Macau with his uncle, Wai, hoping to score big wins to pay for his mother’s operation. Wai gets distracted by the temptations of the big city as they make a windfall at the underground gambling dens. Tak is misled into believing he has killed Wai during a furious brawl over his old girlfriend, Wynnie. Tak flees only to be lured into a gamble of collecting secret information through a local policeman in exchange for Wynnie’s freedom. As Tak’s true intention gets revealed, he must decide where his loyalties lie.

Roulette City is US-based Singaporean director Thomas Lim’s debut feature, in which he played the lead character. The film premiered at the 2012 Singapore International Film Festival.
