About the programme

On the occasion of Asian Film Archive’s 20th anniversary, we bring back a selection of favourites in the programme Rerun. Tying together a collection of films from across Asia and beyond, this programme spotlights the films that have drawn the largest audiences over the last few years at the Asian Film Archive across some of your favourite programmes including y2K DreamZ, Echoes Embers and various retrospectives. From timeless classics to contemporary highlights, the line-up offers a rich tapestry of stories and voices, reflecting the enduring appeal and resonance of these works. The films navigate the complexities of social, political and economic tensions in an increasingly fragmented modern world. Rerun is the beginning of a regular series where we revisit high fidelity beloved titles on the big screen.

Screening from December 12 to 28 2025 at Oldham Theatre
