Making its Singapore premiere, veteran filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s film To the Ends of the Earth is an offbeat dramedy about the misfortunes of a Japanese travel TV host as she stumbles around Uzbekistan and is led on the path towards self-discovery. It was commissioned to mark the 25th anniversary of Japan-Uzbekistan relations, and was selected as the Closing Film of the 2019 Locarno International Film Festival.
