Full Synopsis

This masterful feature debut by Panah Panahi traces the journey of a chaotic and charming family of five—the middle-aged parents, their two sons and an elderly dog. While the elder son is a calm and enigmatic driver, his 6-year-old brother is a boisterous ball of energy in the backseat as they embark on a road trip across the rugged landscapes of the Iranian countryside. Using visual humour replete with road trip karaoke of nostalgic Iranian pop songs, the film slowly reveals the reason behind the family’s journey to tender tragicomic effect.
