Yasuo Takamatsu lost his wife to the tsunami during the Great East Japan earthquake of 2011. Since that fateful day, he has been diving into the sea at different spots every week in search for her. Compelled and inspired to share his story, filmmaker Wesley Leon Aroozoo journeys from Singapore to Onagawa to meet him.

The debut feature documentary by Singaporean filmmaker and educator Aroozoo, I Want To Go Home competed at the 2017 Busan International Film Festival. The film is a companion to the same-titled English-Japanese autobiographical novel published by Math Paper Press.
