Brothers Li Ahh and Li Ohm grow up motherless and spend their after-school hours wandering the streets and getting involved in frivolous activities. Meanwhile, their workaholic and lovelorn father Sui spends most of his time mending broken mannequins. The boys adopt a stray puppy and their emotional attachment to the animal affects Sui, who realises he is capable of love and to being a good parent.
Flower in the Pocket is Malaysian filmmaker Liew Seng Tat’s notable debut feature that won the New Current Award at the 2007 Busan International Film Festival, and the Tiger Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2008.
