Synopsis

Running away from a kickboxing match where he was losing badly, Adil returns to his hometown of Bunohan in Kelantan with his friend Muski, and a hired killer, Ilham, hot on his trail. Adil’s brother Bakar who also returned to Bunohan to look after their ailing father, plans to sell the family’s burial grounds. All four young men have to confront the ghosts of their past and discover their identities.

Bunohan is the second feature of Malaysian director Dain Said that premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. It won the NETPAC Award at the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and the Golden Hanoman at the 9th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival.
