Synopsis

An undergrad in New York City finds everything that she’s worked for spiralling out of control in her final week of college when a bad breakup sets in motion a series of questionable decisions. Writer-director Kit Zauhar stars in this semi-autobiographical slice-of-life comedy drama, which had its world premiere at Locarno.

Between hip house parties, lecture breaks, and therapy sessions, Actual People dives headfirst into the anxieties of an Asian American woman on the cusp of adulthood, updating the American indie genre for a new generation of zillennials lost in the currents between love, life, family and future.
