The Call Home

The Call Home depicts the hardship and displacement that Kasi, an Indian construction worker in Singapore, suffers in the course of his employment. His desire to remain untainted by corrupting influences soon crumbles as he finds ways to help alleviate the harshness of his new reality. On his first phone call home to his wife in Tanjore, he lies about his real circumstances, leaving the truth unsaid until it is too late.
