Kassim

Set amidst the 1964 racial riots and based on a true story, Ah Mei, a Chinese girl is caught out during a curfew. Afraid, she runs into a Malay household where the son, Kassim, brings her back home. The young couple grow closer along the way. Unfortunately, her father misunderstands the situation and together with other neighbours, beat up Kassim. A poignant piece on the need for peace and understanding between different races.
