Crossroad centres on a middle-aged insomniac taxi driver who drives the night shift. Using voiceovers, the driver waxes lyrical about life and its numerous encounters, perhaps a natural topic for a taxi driver. One night, he meets a beautiful female passenger, and he appears to continue to think about her after their meeting. He meets her again at the doctors, when he realises that maybe sleep would be a good idea. The film, shot in black and white, is relatively successful in presenting the protagonist’s moods, thoughts, and at the end, hopefulness.
