Chicken Rice War 鸡缘巧合

An adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Chicken Rice War is a romantic comedy that revolves around two star-crossed lovers, Fenson and Audrey, who are caught in the tangles of an inter-family feud over the quality of their chicken rice. The rivalry soon reaches heights of absurdity when the families start to stage open-air concerts during the Hungry Ghosts’ Festival to outdo each other. But the film ends differently from the Bard’s play, with the two sides reconciling their differences to give the couple a chance at happiness.
